Pension Services

Plan Design and Document Preparation
Our first priority is to provide you with a profit sharing, 401(k) or defined benefit plan customized to fit your objectives. Once we're sure that we've designed the right plan for you, we will prepare the plan document, along with a Summary Plan Description for you to give your employees. On an ongoing basis, we will review your plan and make amendments to keep up with your objectives and changes in pension law.
Administration
Our annual services include actuarial valuation of costs to determine allowable or required contributions, preparation of actuarial reports, trust accounting and reconciliation of assets, preparation of participant statements, nondiscrimination testing under IRC 410(b), 401(k) and 401(m), and preparation of Series 5500 forms with Summary Annual Reports. We also prepare Forms 1099-R, 1096 and 945 upon request. For defined benefit plans, we prepare the PBGC annual filing as well. For participants who are over age 70-1/2, we determine Required Minimum Distributions.
Plan termination
When the time comes to terminate your plan, we prepare a certificate of resolutions or actions and notices to participants. We determine the final distribution of assets to the participants and prepare the required Qualified Joint & Survivor Annuity waivers. When appropriate, we prepare forms and submit the termination to the PBGC and IRS for approval before assets are distributed.
